Canadian copper and silver miner Miedzi Copper has decided to give up its exploration licenses in Zerkow, Paproc and Steszew areas, and to withdraw motions for new licenses in Buk, Kaleje and Florentyna areas in west-central Poland, the firm said in a press statement.
The announcement comes after a Tuesday statement from the Environment Ministry that Miedzi Copper withdrew motions for three exploration licenses in Poland but retained all 13 exploration licenses held.
Miedzi Copper does not hold any production licenses in Poland, the ministry also said.
