Polish HICP inflation flat y/y in July - Eurostat

Poland's harmonized annual HICP inflation measured 0.0% in July, after a string of 0.3% annual readings from April to June, Eurostat said in a statement.
Month on month, prices fell 0.2%, the statement shows.
Poland's CPI as calculated by the Central Statistics Office (GUS) showed 0.2% y/y deflation in July after a positive 0.3% y/y reading in June.
HICP is used to determine countries' compliance with Maastricht treaty inflation criteria, necessary for euro adoption. The maximum allowed inflation is set at 1.5 pp above the level of three-year average of countries with the lowest result in the EU.
