Polish fruit producers want to enter Asian markets
August 18, 2014
Polish fruit producers do not fear Russian embargo and believe that their activity on other foreign markets as well as a change of Polish regulations will help them ward off the effects of the embargo.
The global market is sufficiently open to allow us to place the whole production previously exported to Russia, the president of fruit lobby Zwiazaek Sadownikow RP Miroslaw Maliszewski said.
In autumn, fruit producers plan to launch a campaign promoting Polish apples in China and United Arab Emirates. In addition, producers hope for alteration of regulations allowing to process fruit and vegetables on farms on a greater scale.
