August 21, 2014
Banks continue to increase mortgage margins, especially for clients with lower downpayment, credit advisors say.
Only in July margins were raised by Bank Pocztowy, Credit Agricole, Getin Noble Bank and mBank.
mBank increased margins for loans with 5% downpayment by 0.8 pp to 2.9%, while Getin Noble bank raised it by 0.5 pp to 2.97%. This means that the banks are not interested in offering mortgage loans to clients with very low downpayment, Expander analyst Jaroslaw Sadowski says.
Banks are not interested in increasing mortgage lending, Dom Kredytowy Notus analyst Michal Krajkowski says.
