Power group Tauron mulls spinning off its wind generation assets to an SPV in order to free cash for investment projects, deputy CEO Krzysztof Zawadzki said on Thursday.
"We are considering a project of spinning off our wind farm projects and their temporary sale in order to free means for investments," Zawadzki said. "We are currently conducting due diligence in order to establish the profitability of this project."
Tauron intends to "maintain control over wind assets and at the same time improve multiples and free cash," the official said. "We assume that these assets will return to us in five-seven years."
The operation could be carried out in Q1 2015, Zawadzki also said.
