San Leon Energy, an AIM-listed exploration and extraction firm, has fully or partially relinquished nine of Polish concessions, constituting 14% of its to-date Polish total, the company said in a statement.

The company fully exited concessions of Poręba, Jordanów, Mszana Dolna, Bielsko in southern Poland, Kalisz, Wetlina, in southeastern Poland, Węgrów in eastern Poland, and Laski, partly Biała and Wieluń in central Poland.

However, in other concession areas, San Leon plans two drillings in the Karpaty region, southern Poland and one in the Polish Permian Basin, northern Poland, to start in mid-September.

Also, San Leon is in the phase of advanced engineering planning for its Lewino horizontal shale gas well in northern Poland and is now awaiting results from the nearby ConocoPhilips/3Legs and BNK wells, the company said.
