Poland to spend PLN 24-25bn on family subsidy program 500 plus
April 10, 2017
The Polish government expects to spend some PLN 24-25 billion on its flagship family subsidy program 500 plus this year vs. PLN 23 billion budgeted as the number of childbirths is rising, deputy PM, Development and Finance Minister Mateusz Morawiecki told private broadcaster TVN24.
"This year it will be around PLN 24-25 billion," as the program is expanding due to a rising number of childbirths, Morawiecki said.
More than 400,000 childbirths are expected this year, he said. "That's what we wanted."
Poland budgeted ca. PLN 23 billion on the program in 2017.
