PZU insurance giant has a new CEO

Listed state-controlled insurer PZU named insider Pawel Surowka as its new CEO, replacing Michal Krupinski, ousted some three weeks ago, the firm said in a market filing.
Surowka has been chief of the insurer's life unit PZU Zycie since June 2016, having come to the group from bank PKO BP. He has done prior spins with BoAML and Boryszew industrials. He steps into Krupinski's CEO term which began July 1, 2015.
PZU will stick to its dividend policy and sees strategy implementation as its highest priority,l Surowka said, as cited in firm's press statement.
The Wednesday EGM of PZU additionally named Aneta Falek, Robert Snitko and Katarzyna Lewandowska to the supervisory board, having removed Jerzy Paluchniak and Pawel Kaczmarek, while Lukasz Swierzewski resigned, the firm said in separate filings.
