Listed railway freight transportation company PKP Cargo has signed an agreement with Worldwide Logistics Group on tightening cooperation that will enable the Polish group to set up its own structures in China, daily Parkiet reports. The company had been watching the Chinese market for years and came to the conclusion that only its presence on that market will provide competitive advantages that will enable PKP Cargo to become a global operator, CEO of PKP Cargo Maciej Libiszewski says. Thanks to the cooperation with Worldwide Logistics Group the company will be able to quickly offer its services in more than 30 of the most important regions in China, he adds. PKP Cargo wants to play a growing role on the so-called New Silk Way, i.e. the railway connection between China and Europe.
