Pawel Gruza
The Polish government will publish a draft bill on split VAT payment in early May and wants the new solution to take effect in January 2018, deputy Finance Minister Pawel Gruza told Rzeczpospolita daily.
The system will be obligatory for sectors currently under the reverse charge regime and voluntary for the remaining sectors, the official confirmed. Poland will likely need the European Commission's consent to introduce the new regulations and will file motions for derogations for particular sectors, Gruza said, adding that Poland should have no problems with securing the green light.
