The Polish government is unlikely to introduce Sunday retail trade ban in January 2018, the deadline last mentioned by the ruling party Law and Justice (PiS), the daily Gazeta Wyborcza suspects.
The work on the bill seems to be moving very slowly and the document needs to be rewritten to take into account the results of the consultations. Moreover, PiS may be reluctant to introduce the changes which do not have the support of the majority of Poles as the election dates draw nearer, the paper writes.
