Corruption in the police is on the rise after a clear decline seen in years 2013-2015, Rzeczpospolita daily reports citing a report by the police's internal affairs bureau.
Corruption made up one third of the charges made against Polish police officers in 2016, while in 2015 its share stood at one fifth, the report show. In a separate piece, the daily describes speculations made by major opposition party PO's MPs regarding minister Beata Kempa's potential personal involvement into helping out police officers involved in a police force abuse case in Wroclaw, her home town.
