More and more Ukrainian workers
June 13, 2017
Article's tools:

Polish companies have expressed interest in hiring more than 773,000 Ukrainian workers in the first five months of this year, an almost 50% rise year on year, according to Labor Ministry estimates accessed by the daily Rzeczpospolita.
Ukrainians are the only rescue for employers in such sectors as food processing, horticulture and gardening, as they cannot find Polish workers for this season, Krzysztof Inglot from listed temp work agency Work Service says.
To end-May the agency brought to Poland twice as many Ukrainian employees as in the same period last year.
That source may soon dry up, as from June 11 Ukrainians will be granted visa-free entry to all EU states for a period of 90 days. Some are already eyeing Western Europe as a better-pay destination, although officially they are not allowed to work there.
