Most of Poland’s regional airports enjoyed double-digit increases in the number of serviced passengers in the first five months of this year, the daily Rzeczpospolita writes.
Airports in Wroclaw, Poznan, Gdansk, Krakow, Bydgoszcz and Lublin offered new destinations and attracted major carriers, such as Lufthansa, LOT, Swiss, Air Berlin and KLM.
Introduction of new destinations is a response to strong interest enjoyed by Lufthansa flights from Polish regional airports as the number of passengers flying from Poland to Germany markedly rose in the first five months of this year, Lufthansa Group’s representative in Poland Frank Wagner said.
