Konstanty Radziwill
The Polish government has suspended works on a draft bill allowing public hospitals to provide commercial services after PM Beata Szydlo expressed her doubts to Health Minister Konstanty Radziwill, Gazeta Wyborcza and Dziennik Gazeta Prawna dailies report.
The draft was sent to social consultations last week. Radziwill estimated that the option would enable public hospitals to increase their budgets by 5% or over PLN 2 billion. Szydlo is said to have opposed a solution that would lead to discrimination of patients.
