Polish dailies focus their Friday coverage on detailed descriptions and analysis of US President Donald Trump's one-day visit to Poland. During his speech on Plac Krasinskich in Warsaw, Trump did mention the NATO's Article 5 on the principle of common defense after he said at an earlier joint press conference with Polish President Andrzej Duda that they did not discuss security guarantees, Rzeczpospolita daily points out.
Also, Trump assured the US is ready to strike long-term gas supply deal with Poland. Still, Poland hoped to hear more concrete declarations regarding safety and energy policy, political scientist, prof. Bohdan Szklarski commented.
Ruling party Law and Justice (PiS), and more broadly Polish right, couldn't have wished for a better speech from Donald Trump as the US president referred to patriotism, fight for freedom and independence, as well as faith, Rzeczpospolita daily writes in an editorial.
Also, Trump underlined the right of each state to lead its own immigration policy, which supports the ruling camp in its dispute with Brussels on refugee allocation.
