President Andrzej Duda is said to be quietly seeking ways to restore good relations with the leadership of the governing party Law and Justice (PiS) following the rift over the judicial reform, the daily Dziennik Gazeta Prawna writes.
The president is supposed to dispatch an emissary to PiS head Jaroslaw Kaczynski this week, according to the daily's findings.
The emissary, reportedly presidential cabinet head Krzysztof Szczerski, is to reassure Kaczynski that Duda is not building his own political grouping, but also leverage the president's veto-wielding powers.
