Ruling party Law and Justice (PiS) is reportedly mulling replacing PM Beata Szydlo with its leader Jaroslaw Kaczynski in view of president Andrzej Duda's recent rise to prominence, daily Rzeczpospolita writes citing own sources.
"Duda's activity ... must meet with a proper response," a "well-informed" PiS politician tells the newspaper.
The ruling party may also decide to replace some cabinet members, among others due to the government's "chaotic" and "delayed" reaction to the recent storms sweeping across Poland.
"Our plans depend on the president's judiciary reform proposals," says a politician from Kaczynski's entourage as quoted by Rzeczpospolita, adding that reaching some kind of an agreement with Duda is crucial for the ruling camp's future.
The cabinet reshuffle, possibly also involving the PM, could take place in November, according to the newspaper's sources.
