The Polish government wants to make a habit out of broad consultations over issues important for the whole market or its segments before an actual piece of legislation is written, the daily Puls Biznesu writes citing Finance Ministry's VAT department head Wojciech Sliz.
The consultation process is supposed to produce a consensus between the ministry and entrepreneurs, Sliz hopes.
Poland's bid at involving companies in the creation of a list of due diligence practices in business transactions has been the first attempt at such consultations.
The first round has yielded 65 opinions. The material collected indicates that room for compromise and working out the best possible solutions exists, Sliz said.
The document should be ready when the split payment bill lands in parliament in October, he added.
