Polish voters would welcome independent candidate lists for the 2018 municipal elections, daily Rzeczpospolita writes, citing the results of the latest poll by the IBRiS opinion research center.
Some 66% of respondents would like independents to join the 2018 electoral competition, and over 10% declare that they would gladly vote for them, a possible signal that voters remain critical to the political offer of the main parties, which only 40.5% call "sufficient."
The governing party Law and Justice (PiS) still leads the polls with 29.8% support for the 2018 municipal elections. At the same time, less than 50% of respondents would be willing to cast their ballot if the elections were held on the upcoming Sunday.
