Gowin under fire
September 25, 2017
Article's tools:

Jaroslaw Gowin
The ruling party Law and Justice (PiS) is taking revenge on deputy PM and minister of higher education Jaroslaw Gowin for his declaration of support for the presidential vetoes of the two draft judiciary bills, newspaper Polska The Times writes.
Gowin's proposed reform of the Polish higher education system has been harshly criticized by the PiS top brass.
However, Jaroslaw Kaczynski seems unlikely to antagonize Gowin and his party Polska Razem as the stable majority in the Parliament's lower house is a priority for PiS in the light of the upcoming voting over new reforms, including the media deconcentration bill, Polska the Times speculates.
