Salaries in Poland are 66% lower than the EU average and over 70% lower than in Germany, but are rising at an annual pace of 5% vs. 2% in France and Germany, daily Rzeczpospolita writes of a report by Roland Berger. Labor efficiency in Poland stands at 60% of EU average and is half as high as in France and Germany, Roland Berger's Tomasz Narloch tells the newspaper.
Poles earn EUR 640 net less monthly than Germans on average, with the gap in same jobs reaching EUR 669, Rzeczpospolita also writes citing a report by the European Trade Union Institute (ETUI).
Wage gaps among less qualified employees are generally smaller than among highly qualified staff, the document shows.
