The Polish government will relaunch legislative works on a draft bill banning Sunday trade on Thursday, having reached "a political agreement" on a compromise solution that would only restrict trade on two Sundays a month, daily Rzeczpospolita writes citing head of the lower house sub-committee for labor market Janusz Sniadek.
The issue has stirred some controversy within the government, which means the final bill may yet differ from what comes out of the committee, Rzeczpospolita speculates.
Retailers are opposed to the two-Sundays proposal due to expected problems with planning orders and setting schedules for the personnel.
