Poland's ruling party Law and Justice (PiS) is examining possible changes to the municipal electoral law with a view of choosing the solutions that would benefit not only the election process, but also the party itself, the daily Dziennik Gazeta Prawna writes citing sources close to the matter.
The abolition of the majoritarian voting system in municipalities and reinstalment of the proportional representation are the ideas with the biggest chance of implementation, sources say.
PiS is also seriously considering introducing a ban for candidates to run for two offices concurrently, they add.
