Joint lists of PO and Nowoczesna?

Poland's opposition parties could benefit from preparing joint lists of candidates in the 2018 municipal elections, the daily Rzeczpospolita writes, citing a survey commissioned last week by one of the political groupings in the Malopolska region.
Should the Civic Platform (PO) and Nowoczesna candidates join forces in the upcoming elections, they could increase considerably the number of seats in the regional assemblies, the survey results demonstrate.
The findings, however, seem to have had little effect on the relationships between the opposition parties. The PO leader Grzegorz Schetyna officially opts for combined lists, but his real motivation is to mask his party's expected poor election results, an anonymous opposition politician comments for the daily.
At present, no negotiations over combined lists are being held, Rzeczpospolita adds, citing its own sources in PO.
