Poland's state development bank BGK will provide support to companies with liquidity problems stemming from the introduction of the so-called split payment mechanism for VAT payments, the daily Dziennik Gazeta Prawna writes citing its own sources.
A troubled company will be able to apply for financing, which will be assessed by BGK with a view to determining if the liquidity problems are caused by the split-payment mechanism or other factors such as payment bottlenecks, the daily's source in the Finance Ministry explains.
In the latter case, the applicant will receive no help from BGK, the insider adds.
