Poland's ruling party Law and Justice (PiS) has accepted a key element of judicial reform as proposed by President Andrzej Duda, including a demand that members of the National Judiciary Council (KRS) be chosen in the lower house of Parliament on a 3/5 majority based on a multi-party agreement and that the Justice Minister be removed from the process, PiS spokesperson Beata Mazurek told PAP of the Friday meeting between the party's leader Jaroslaw Kaczynski and Duda.
A compromise seems at hand, Mazurek claims.
