A cabinet reshuffle will take place next month, ruling party leader Jaroslaw Kaczynski told MPs on Friday pointing at problems in the foreign ministry and at the same time praising justice minister Zbigniew Ziobro, daily Rzeczpospolita writes of unofficial information.
The shake-up may happen in mid-November on the second anniversary of Law and Justice (PiS)'s rise to power, the paper claims.
The new head of diplomacy could be named by President Andrzej Duda provided that Duda gave up his ambitions in the sphere of defense, an unspecified PiS politician tells Rzeczpospolita of his party's potential offer for the president. PiS would be willing to accept presidential minister Krzysztof Szczerski as the new foreign minister, he suggests. The November reshuffle may also affect Infrastructure and Construction Minister Andrzej Adamczyk, with his ministry potentially facing division into an infrastructure ministry headed by deputy PM Mateusz Morawiecki and a construction ministry overseeing solely the government housing program Mieszkanie+.
