Poland might be taken to task at the European Council summit starting October 19 due to its disregard for the EU's Court of Justice ruling about the controversial logging in the Bialowieza forest, the daily Dziennik Gazeta Prawna writes, citing the findings of its German counterpart Der Spiegel.
If the Polish issue makes it to the summit agenda, it will be due to Germany's backstage efforts, as Berlin firmly opposes contesting the Court of Justice's decisions by member states, a source close to EU's diplomatic circles tells the daily.
