Distant markets on target

Poland's economy may grow substantially if domestic companies strengthen their presence on distant markets, such as Iran, India, the US, Japan, South Africa and Kenya, Poland's export credit insurer KUKE believes.
Polish firms have already successfully tapped into the Indian electric machinery market, and stand a chance of increasing sales of food products to South Africa. Vietnam and Mexico have also made it to the list of Poland's promising business partners in the fields such as shipbuilding, IT, automotive, aviation or pharmaceuticals, KUKE notes. Polish companies should also be looking for growth opportunities on the nearer markets: the Scandinavian countries and Poland's eastern neighbors, KUKE says.
