• Roman Giertych (pictured right), the leader of the League of Polish Families (LPR) , witnessed an accident where a hit-and-run driver knocked down three people. In a daring exploit, the politician, accompanied by his wife and daughter in the car, followed the driver and managed to cut him off and called the police. However, it turned out that he was chasing the wrong guy. The real culprit must have lost him somewhere along the way, the deputy admitted.


• The photographer and former model Lidia Popiel says her macho husband Bogusław Linda is an excellent cook. The tough guy of Polish cinema, Linda makes fantastic quail stuffed with herbs; his other specialty are pork meatballs. The artist says she would starve to death were it not for her hubby.


• The actress Edyta Olszówka once again donned her birthday suit for a photo session in a well-known men's magazine. Her first session in the buff was a huge strain, she says, making her run off the set a few times. The second time was her conscious decision. The actress says she will absolutely refuse to pose for nude photographs after she turns 40.


• Nelli, the German wife of Sejm deputy Jan Rokita, revealed that neither she nor her husband has a cell phone-for convenience. Instead, the politician, the star of the investigation commission probing into the Rywingate affair, is helped by two secretaries and an assistant. The Rokitas do not have a car, either, because Nelli wrecked it.


• The singer Kayah used to dream of practicing kickboxing. Today, to release pent-up energy, she smashes a punching bag at home whenever she gets the chance. She has never thought that this sport is reserved for men. Her boxing hero is Layla Ali.
