Stanislaw Piotrowicz
Poland's President Andrzej Duda and ruling party Law and Justice (PiS) are still failing to reach an agreement on some key contentious issues in the judiciary reform bills, Dziennik Gazeta Prawna wrote in the wake of a meeting of a presidential aide Pawel Mucha and PiS MP Stanislaw Piotrowicz.
PiS and the president's office "increased the area of agreement", Piotrowicz told reporters after a meeting. The two areas of disagreement between the sides include the procedure of electing the national judiciary council KRS members and the retirement of the Supreme Court judges, Piotrowicz said.
