Gowin playing his game

Jaroslaw Gowin
Deputy Prime Minister Jaroslaw Gowin is building out his faction, currently allied with governing party Law and Justice (PiS), to include an ever wider group of individuals who seek a more moderate version of PiS, the daily Rzeczpospolita writes in an analysis.
Gowin has managed to build on momentum built by President Andrzej Duda when he vetoed justice reform legislation authored by the governing party which met some popular resistance.
Gowin will need a visible success in holding back the radical element within PiS for his movement to have any longer-term sense or success, otherwise his would-be supporters will shift to the opposition, the daily writes.
