ZUS demands more time
November 9, 2017
Article's tools:

Poland's social insurer ZUS wants the country's government to postpone to 2019 the abolition of cap on social insurance premiums which is currently set at 30 times the average national monthly wage, the daily Dziennik Gazeta Prawna writes.
ZUS would have to revamp its key IT structures to comply with the new law, which is a substantial technical operation. At the same time, the insurer is trying to come up with a temporary solution that would let it calculate the contribution according to the new rules, the daily found out.
The deputy PM and development minister Mateusz Morawiecki secured a green light from the ruling party Law and Justice (PiS) head Jaroslaw Kaczynski to proceed with the changes, Dziennik Gazeta Prawna writes citing unofficial information, but the opponents to the new law hope that Kaczynski will alter his stance, saying it will hit employees hired based on regular job contracts and reduce remuneration pools in state-owned enterprises.
