The pressure on EU sanctions against Poland in relation to the rule of law procedure is weakening as EU states are now more concerned about the situation in Malta and Spain, Rzeczpospolita daily writes, citing an unnamed European Commission official.
Another reason is very high support for the ruling coalition, which shows the EU members that they will probably have to cooperate with this camp in the coming years, another insider told the daily.
On Wednesday the next debate in the European Parliament on the rule of law in Poland will take place.
