Four of Poland's five designated energy vendors - likely blue-chip concerns PGE, Enea, Energa and Tauron - filed motions for household tariff hikes by several percent in 2018, the daily Rzeczpospolita writes citing the information from energy regulator URE and own findings.
Energa, PGE and Tauron top officials admit some tariff growth could take place, without revealing the scale of increases motioned for. That motions come in the context of the likely coal price rises next year - state coal concern PGG wants to increase price in the tenders for next year's supplies by 10%, the paper found out.
Coal prices growth may also result in heating tariffs increase by several percent, the daily notes.
