Wroclaw gets an air link with Zurich. The flights are served with the modern Bombardier CS100 by the air carrier SWISS from Switzerland, a newcomer to Wroclaw. Passengers can choose from three flights a week - on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
Dariusz Kus, President of Wroc³aw Airport admits that, as a destination, Zurich has been Wroclaw’s point of interest for years.
"Many Swiss companies, such as Credit Suisse and UBS, have their branches in Wroclaw. This is why their employees and clients will be very happy with the new route. Apart from that, Zurich is an important destination also because of a possibility of a convenient change on the route to North American or Asian cities including Boston, Delhi, or Dubai", says adds Kus.
By inaugurating the flights to Zurich on October 30, Wroclaw’s airport began cooperation with a new air carrier - SWISS. The Switzerland-based airline has been operating on the market since 2002, while since 2005 being a thriving part of Lufthansa group.
The air carrier’s main hub is Zurich airport. SWISS offers service with one of the world’s most modern passenger planes - Bombardier CS100. The airliner features a comfortable seating arrangement, bigger toilets, wider seats, and more room for cabin luggage.
Flights to Zurich complement the airport’s existing links with biggest European interchange hubs: Frankfurt am Main (four times a day – Lufthansa), Munich (three times a day – Lufthansa), Dusseldorf (once a day – Eurowings), Copenhagen (once a day – SAS) and Warsaw (six times a day – PLL LOT).
The new timetable of Wroclaw Airport, in effect until the end of March, includes over 50 routes - both low-cost and business-oriented ones, as well as those offered by travel agencies.
