More diplomatic powers to the President

Poland's ruling camp might be close to making the decision to transfer some of the foreign policy competences from the Foreign Ministry to the President's office, deputy PM Jaroslaw Gowin told the public TV broadcaster. The ruling coalition shares Jaroslaw Kaczynski's belief as to the need of increasing the president's diplomatic prerogatives, e.g. by authorizing him to represent Poland at EU summits, Gowin explained.
