Listed chemicals group Azoty is facing the threat of industrial action at unit Pulawy as a newly-formed strike committee is unwilling to negotiate with the Pulawy management over the group's planned integration of its commercial segments, the daily Parkiet writes.
The union members appealed directly to the parent company in Tarnow and are still waiting for reply, Michal Swiderski from the Grupa Azoty Pulawy Solidarity trade union tells the daily.
The Pulawy union members are also protesting against the supposed breach of the 2012 consolidation contract which promised the Pulawy unit a representation in the group's managing board following its takeover by Tarnow, a pledge that the parent company describes as an expression of intention with no binding force.
