Mateusz Morawiecki
Poland's deputy PM and development and finance minister Mateusz Morawiecki postulates a new global social contract patterned on the American New Deal which would halt the proliferation of tax havens, cartels and monopolies, as well as create successful cybersecurity policy, Morawiecki said during the opening discussion panel at the economic Congress 590 in the south-eastern city of Rzeszow.
Speaking of Poland's economic challenges, Morawiecki referred to the difficult task of balancing the cooperation with overseas investors to stave off capital outflows while at the same time building a strong domestic economy free of excessive dependence on foreign money. Poland's capitalism model needs to "pro-social", but it should also create the best conditions possible for entrepreneurs, Morawiecki said.
