Poland's lower house adopted a bill gradually limiting Sunday trade from two working Sundays per month starting from March 1, 2018 through one working Sunday in 2019 to a full ban as of 2020 with some exceptions.
The legislation exempts e-commerce from the ban.
Some retailers could try to find loopholes in the draft bill gradually banning Sunday retail trade, according to Rzeczpospolita daily.
Leaving out internet trade from the ban will open room for large abuses, head of retail at Solidarity union Alfred Bujara claims.
Deliveries of goods ordered via internet could take place on Sundays provided the payment was made on a different day, head of one of retail network told the daily.
