Poland's president Andrzej Duda and the country's justice minister Zbigniew Ziobro might be in for another opening of the conflict over the final shape of the country's much-debated judiciary reform, the newspaper Polska The Times writes in an analysis.
Duda and Ziobro share the ruling camp's conviction that Poland's judiciary can be repaired only by tightening political control over legal institutions and their personnel, but disagree as to which politicians should be in charge of the reorganization process, with Duda attempting to win some prerogatives for the presidential office at the cost of the justice ministry and its head, the daily argues.
