Poland's power exchange TGE will present a new strategy in 2018, while analyzing possible directions of development, including the creation of coal and food products exchange market, acting CEO Piotr Zawistowski tells the daily Parkiet.
TGE also eyes tapping into foreign markets, also via participation in spot markets, Zawistowski adds. TGE expects that raising the obligation to sell electricity on the commodity exchange to 30% as of 2018 will help stabilizing the turnover volumes and hopes that the latter will exceed 100 TWh, according to Zawistowski.
TGE will discuss the details of its new offer with the market participants next week, with the proposed degressive rates and fees for market makers on the agenda, Zawistowski says, while abstaining from revealing the details.
