Pawel Gruza
Deputy Finance Minister Pawel Gruza or Poland's top bank PKO BP CEO Zbigniew Jagiello may take up the post of finance minister after Mateusz Morawiecki, who currently holds that position, is appointed as new PM, the daily Parkiet writes of market speculation.
Until a replacement is selected, Morawiecki could continue to supervise the ministry via deputy Finance Minister Leszek Skiba, according to paper Polska The Times. According to the daily Rzeczpospolita findings, Morawiecki could keep charge of the Finance Ministry. State fund PFR CEO Pawel Borys or deputy Development Minister Jerzy Kwiecinski could replace Morawiecki in the position of development minister. Presidential chief of staff Krzysztof Szczerski could substitute Foreign Minister Witold Waszczykowski, while the fate of Defense Minister Antoni Macierewicz is not yet certain. Cabinet Minister Henryk Kowalczyk may leave his post, alongside cabinet spokesman Rafal Bochenek. The daily Gazeta Wyborcza puts Agriculture Minister Krzysztof Jurgiel and Digitalization Minister Anna Strezynska on the list of potential outgoing cabinet members.
