Judicial reform close to an end

Poland's upper house adopted the presidential judiciary reform bills as amended by the lower house. The bills now await president Andrzej Duda's final approval.
They enable premature termination of terms of supreme court head and judges from national judiciary council KRS, which triggered accusations of unconstitutionality from the opposition and legal experts.
The reform does not violate the constitution, upper house speaker Stanislaw Karczewski nonetheless argues in an interview for daily Rzeczpospolita citing opinions of presidential experts.
