Cohesion Policy funds needed
December 29, 2017
Article's tools:

Poland has so far successfully contracted PLN 156 billion, or 50.7%, of the EU Cohesion Policy means available for the years 2014-2020, in line with the development ministry's plans to distribute 50% of the EU resources to end-2017, the daily Rzeczpospolita writes citing the deputy development minister Jerzy Kwiecinski.
The demand for EU funds is at present exceeding supply threefold, Kwiecinski adds. Poland will aim at contracting more EU funds in 2018 and 2019, while at the same time trying to avoid accumulation of investments that could prove troublesome for investors already struggling with labor shortage, particularly in the construction business, Kwiecinski says. The investment peak could also result in price hikes and transportation problems, he explains.
