Jadwiga Emilewicz
Poland's ruling grouping Law and Justice (PiS) will likely decide to dismiss Defense Minister Antoni Macierewicz in the mid-January cabinet reshuffle, Gazeta Wyborcza writes, citing a person close to PM Mateusz Morawiecki. At issue is Macierewicz's cool approach to the European Defense Fund and his strife with President Andrzej Duda.
Environment Minister Jan Szyszko may lose his job after his ministry is merged with the Energy Ministry. Otherwise Szyszko could be replaced with the current cabinet minister Henryk Kowalczyk, previously mentioned as a candidate for the Ministry of Agriculture helm.
Other ministers likely to lose their jobs include health minister Konstanty Radziwill, foreign minister Witold Waszczykowski and digital affairs minister Anna Strezynska.
PM Morawiecki could be replaced as the Development Minister by his deputy Jadwiga Emilewicz.
