Listed natgas firm PGNiG is focused on upstream operations in Poland and Norway, further supply diversification and on expanding its LNG purchases, CEO Piotr Wozniak told the sister dailies Parkiet and Rzeczpospolita in an interview.
Domestic production can be held at a level of about 4 bcm and while most major domestic deposits are gone, reserves in the teens of billions of cubic meters should be available. Drilling will start soon at Kramarzowki with a documented 3 bcm.
Deposits near Przemysl can be built out.
In Norway, the group recently filed for production at the Aerfugl and Skogul fields and hopes for significant production by 2022 as Poland works towards a goal of 2.5 bcm annually via the planned Baltic pipe. PGNiG takes up talks with nearly every seller of any stake in Norwegian projects, although the market remains thin.
