Polish furniture industry is expected to grow by ca. 10% in 2018, to PLN 50 billlion, Michal Strzelecki, head of furniture producers lobby OIGPM says.
Poland should take third place in the ranking of the world's top furniture producers, ousting Italy from the podium, Strzelecki adds.
On the flip side, Polish furniture makers need to escape the trap of low margins by boosting brand recognition in lieu of pumping output volumes, the dailies observe.
Listed furniture maker Forte and rival Szynaka are already trying to improve margins and brand recognition by tapping into more distant markets of India, Saudi Arabia and US, the newspapers remark.
