The Polish government is likely to present its draft legislation creating voluntary employer-sponsored pension plans next week, insiders to the Finance Ministry say.
The latest changes would free micro-business from creating such funds if no employees announced their interest. The basic framework for larger firms has not changed from prior indications.
Reform of the OFE pension funds continues to be blocked by long-running conflicts over who would manage the national Demographic Reserve Fund which would receive a portion of the OFE moneys and if the remainder of OFE moneys should be handed directly to savers.
